Start with the existing wall

Describe what you want to paint and its condition. Distinguish a change of colour from a surface with stains, flaking or damp. Paint does not identify the cause of deterioration, and this entry does not suggest concealing it. If the coating is unknown or damaged, request an assessment before preparing the work.

Read the product against a brief

Look for intended use, finish, accepted substrates, preparation, application and maintenance. The Titanlux page consulted identifies its matt emulsion paint for interior walls and ceilings and offers technical and safety data sheets separately. A commercial description such as 'washable' or 'one coat' must not become a rule for all paints or every substrate.

To compare, record the exact reference and colour. Ask for coverage under the documented conditions and which basis to use when estimating coats. Take those details to the paint calculator, keeping measurements and assumptions visible.

Look at a real sample

The brand itself warns that on-screen perception is indicative. Observe a physical sample compatible with the proposed system, alongside the flooring and under different lights. Keep the code, batch where available and finish documentation.

Ask when and how the finished surface can be cleaned and what solution exists for touch-ups. This entry is a reading of documentation, without opacity, washing or emissions testing. It does not include sanding, stripping or working-at-height procedures.

At a glance

Composition

Consult the specific formulation's data sheet; this category includes different interior paints.

Uses and selection

  • Walls and ceilings only if included in the intended use.
  • Do not transfer interior products to other applications because of a similar colour.

Installation

Check substrate and system against the technical data sheet; deterioration or unknown coatings require prior assessment.

Limitations

  • On-screen colour is indicative.
  • Coverage, coats and cleaning depend on the product and conditions.
  • No generic harmlessness, opacity or resistance is attributed.

Cleaning

Follow the conditions and timing in the finish documentation; seek advice before treating stains.

Repair

Keep code and batch, and check touch-up compatibility and differences in appearance.

Technical documentation

  • Current technical data sheet.
  • Safety data sheet and packaging.
  • Colour reference and physical sample.
  • Document-based comparison; no opacity, washing or emissions testing.
