What you are comparing
With solid wood flooring, the timber piece and its finish must be considered together. Writing 'wood' in a quote is not enough: ask for the species, format, surface treatment and installation system. Junckers' documentation distinguishes maintenance for oiled and lacquered surfaces. This is a useful distinction when comparing products, without assuming all manufacturers use the same system.
Where it fits
Consider the room's actual use: access from outdoors, moving chairs, foreseeable spills and willingness to care for the surface. Wood responds to moisture conditions; the substrate and indoor environment are part of the project. An attractive finish on a small sample does not establish compatibility with a particular room.
Compare identified samples where they will be installed. Observe variations in tone and grain between pieces, and ask what variation the supply allows. Keep a sample or photographic reference with its code.
Care and future decisions
Request cleaning and refurbishment instructions for that finish. Removing particles and avoiding standing water are different matters from applying a maintenance product; do not interchange oils, soaps or lacquers because their names sound similar.
Before assuming damage is repairable, check usable thickness, condition, previous treatments and the proposed method. This entry is a comparison of documentation, without abrasion testing or an installation review. Keep the manual and ask who will assess moisture and compatibility before the order.
