A documented career
Frank Lloyd Wright lived from 1867 to 1959. The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy presents him as an American architect, designer, writer and educator associated with organic architecture. Its institutional biography places the start of his career in Chicago in 1887 and records his later independent practice in Oak Park. This is not a commercial classification of specialties.
The connection with Fallingwater
In 1932, Wright and Olgivanna founded the Taliesin Fellowship. Edgar Kaufmann jr. visited Taliesin in September 1934 and joined as an apprentice in October. The family relationship preceded the 1935 Fallingwater design. Distinguishing this context from the construction calendar helps explain how the commission developed without inventing conversations or private intentions.
