Two names on the project

The Centre des monuments nationaux credits Villa Savoye to Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret. Its visitor document also credits both with formulating the five points in 1927. This entry preserves that shared authorship, although some summaries of the house emphasize Le Corbusier alone.

Research and commission

Eugénie and Pierre Savoye’s house was built in Poissy between 1929 and 1931. Pilotis, free facade, horizontal windows, free plan and accessible roof connect principles and building. The Fondation Le Corbusier also links the gardener’s lodge with the minimum dwelling proposal presented by both at the 1929 CIAM congress in Frankfurt. These are documented connections, not a reconstruction of their everyday division of tasks.

An archive profile

The record is limited to this collaboration and does not attempt to summarize both individual careers. The related editorial project addresses circulation in the villa, while the property entry distinguishes subsequent phases. These historical names are not presented as a current professional partnership, and no service requests are offered on their behalf.
